This painting of Ankole cows was inspired by my travels to the lowlands of Kenya where most tribeman sum up their wealth by the number of cows they own. The pastel colours are a nod to how we view a lot of past with rose-tinted glasses and the transparency of the elements symbolises our transient journey through life similar to their nomadic people's maxim of treading lightly on this earth.
